☀️Sun Care in South America

A new partnership with ingredient distributor Univar brings a selection of physical sun care ingredients from Croda to beauty makers in Brazil.

Just last week the two companies announced a deal that adds products from the Solaveil, Infraveil, and Optisol ingredient lines to Univar’s sun care portfolio in that country. “We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Univar Solutions within the beauty and personal care market,” says Paulo Sevilha, Latin America Sales and Marketing Director for Croda, in his remarks to the press.

“Our specialty ingredients,” says Sevilha, “complement their diverse personal care portfolio. Univar Solutions' extensive distribution network, product knowledge, and local technical support will provide an opportunity to create more innovative solutions for sun care products based on the growing demand for mineral sunscreens – the natural ingredients.”

The Croda ingredients are all based on Titanium Dioxide and either Zinc Oxide or Manganese Dioxide, and promise protection from not only UV but also (in some cases) protection from environmental pollutants or infrared rays.

Jorge Buckup, President of Latin America for Univar Solutions, is understandably also pleased with the deal: “As a strategic partner, we are excited about this opportunity to expand our portfolio and enhance our value for customers seeking to develop innovative sun care products for local consumers,” he says, adding that, “We look forward to a fulfilling and productive relationship helping deliver personal care solutions for years to come.”
