Cosmoprof North America 2021 Preview

"As usual, Cosmoprof North America will host not only delightful, discoverable consumer brands. But suppliers, manufacturers, and packaging companies will be exhibiting at the show, as well as professional beauty companies that serve the spa and salon side of the industry. And there’s a terrific lineup of educational programing scheduled."

I am making plans to attend Cosmoprof North America at the end of the month.…plane tickets, hotel reservations, all the things.

It’s been a while and I’m not sure I’ll remember to pack everything or that I’ll get through the airport with very much grace.

I am preparing to have a good show: I’m scheduling interviews and meetings, studying up on the exhibitor list, and getting ready to discover the trends, innovations, and launches that will shape the future of our industry.

Unboxing CPNA 2021

The Cosmoprof team even sent me a box recently, highlighting just a tiny selection of the brands that will be exhibiting at this month’s show.

The box includes skin care, hair care, sun care, body care, and more. Three brands in the box feature CBD: There’s a cuticle oil from Keen Organics Brand, a serum from QÚL, and a gel face mask from KÖVO Essentials Skincare. And it’s worth noting that the QÚL serum and the KÖVO mask are formulated with both cannabinoids and probiotics.

This brand, House of M Beauty sent a saffron serum. Saffron is one of those enchanting ingredients that shows up in products across categories every so often.

And of course, there will be tons of other discoverable brands at Cosmoprof North America this month, like Joban Beauty that will be showing a multifunctional deodorant that’s also a concealer, the K Beauty – inspired brand Soon Skincare will be in the popular Discover Beauty Section, and a new section at this year’s show highlighting all things CBD is where you’ll find Hälsa Botanicals, a luxury CBD brand focused on skin hydration, wellness, and organic ingredients.

As usual, Cosmoprof North America will host not only delightful, discoverable consumer brands. But suppliers, manufacturers, and packaging companies will be exhibiting at the show, as well as professional beauty companies that serve the spa and salon side of the industry. And there’s a terrific lineup of educational programing scheduled.

In-Person Beauty Industry Events are Back on the Calendar in 2021

Of course some things will be different. After all, it’s 2021. So at this year’s show, people will look more like this than like this; but I’m sure we’ll still recognize each other!

It’s a considered decision to go to any event this year. For me, and as I am sure for you, there are personal and family medical considerations. And the health of strangers living in or traveling to the US is a factor as well.

COVID-19 is not over; and it’s still very much impacting lives and livelihoods, as is the hardship of limited social activity and human interaction. Our mental wellbeing is a consideration here too.

One of the poll questions that I posted here on LinkedIn lately asked about what you’re most looking forward to at events like Cosmoprof North America. Is it educational programming? Professional networking? Product discovery? Or simply socializing with others in the beauty industry?

Nearly half of you chose ‘professional networking’ and another 26% said ‘in-person socializing’ is what’s most exciting about events this year.

One of the things I am looking forward to most about Cosmoprof North America at the end of the month is the opportunity to see a large-scale beauty industry event with fresh eyes, to experience something familiar as if it’s truly new.

And like you, I am looking forward to being together. I am looking forward to seeing and being with you, with the people who work hard every day to make this important industry safe, innovative, engaging, sustainable, delightful, and reliable.

See you in Vegas!
